Fertility Consultation
Fertility Consultation
Clarity, guidance and a personalised plan for your fertility journey

When you’re trying to conceive, it can sometimes feel as though you’re surrounded by information but still don’t know what you should actually be doing.
You may have had blood tests or scans you don’t fully understand. You might be wondering whether you need further investigations, whether your supplements are right, or whether changes to your diet and lifestyle could be helpful.
Or perhaps you’re preparing for IVF, ICSI or IUI and simply want to feel better informed and prepared for the journey ahead.
Our Fertility Consultation gives you the opportunity to sit down with one of our experienced Clinic Directors and look at the bigger picture.
We take the time to understand you, your partner where appropriate, your fertility history, test results, menstrual cycle, lifestyle and current treatment before helping you identify practical next steps.
Sometimes the most valuable thing is simply having someone help you make sense of everything and give you a clear way forward.
Who is a Fertility Consultation for?
You don’t need to have a fertility diagnosis or be undergoing IVF to book a consultation.
We support individuals and couples at many different stages of their journey, including those who are:
- Just beginning to think about their fertility
- Trying to conceive naturally
- Unsure whether or when to seek further investigations
- Experiencing irregular or difficult menstrual cycles
- Living with PCOS, endometriosis or other fertility-related conditions
- Trying to understand fertility test results
- Preparing for IUI, IVF or ICSI
- Already undergoing fertility treatment
- Considering additional male or female fertility testing
- Looking for a more personalised approach to nutrition, supplements and lifestyle
- Feeling overwhelmed by conflicting fertility information
You are also very welcome to book a consultation if you’ve simply reached the point where you’re thinking:
“I don’t know what we should do next.”
That’s exactly what the consultation is designed to help with.
Looking at the Whole Picture
Fertility is rarely about one single factor.
During your consultation, we’ll explore your fertility and medical history alongside areas such as your menstrual cycle, nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, stress, exercise and overall wellbeing.
If you have already undergone fertility investigations or treatment, we can also help you understand the information you’ve been given and identify questions you may wish to discuss further with your GP or fertility specialist.

Your Fertility Consultation may include:
- A detailed review of your medical and fertility history
- Your menstrual cycle and signs of ovulation
- Previous pregnancies or fertility treatment, where relevant
- Reviewing and helping you understand existing fertility test results
- Discussing any fertility diagnosis you have received
- Lifestyle and nutritional considerations
- Current supplements and areas you may wish to review
- Sleep, stress, exercise and general wellbeing
- Male fertility and sperm health
- Further male or female fertility investigations that may be worth discussing with your doctor or specialist
- Preparing for IVF, ICSI or IUI
- Understanding the different stages of fertility treatment
- Questions you may want to ask your fertility clinic
- Complementary therapies that may be appropriate for you
- Referral or signposting to trusted specialist partners where appropriate
Most importantly, the consultation is about your individual circumstances. We don’t follow the same checklist or give the same recommendations to everybody.
Your Personalised Fertility Action Plan
The support doesn’t finish when your consultation ends.
Following your appointment, we will bring everything we’ve discussed together into your own personalised Fertility Action Plan.
This will normally be sent to you within 72 hours and may include recommendations relating to:
Nutrition • Lifestyle • Supplements • Further investigations • Cycle awareness • Male fertility • Fertility treatment preparation • Wellbeing • Complementary support
You’ll also receive relevant help sheets, resources and recipe ideas where appropriate.
The aim isn’t to give you an enormous list of things you suddenly need to change.
Instead, we’ll help you identify the areas that are most relevant to you and create realistic, manageable steps that can fit into everyday life.
Preparing for IVF, ICSI or IUI?
A Fertility Consultation can also be particularly useful before starting assisted conception.
Fertility treatment can involve unfamiliar terminology, medication, investigations and a lot of information in a relatively short period of time.
We can talk you through the different stages of your proposed treatment, help you understand what to expect and discuss ways you can look after your general health and wellbeing while preparing for and undergoing treatment.
Where appropriate, we can also discuss complementary support such as fertility acupuncture before and during your treatment cycle.
Our advice is designed to sit alongside the care and recommendations of your fertility clinic, not replace them.
Fertility Is About Both Partners
Where you’re trying to conceive as a couple, we encourage both partners to attend the consultation whenever possible.
Male fertility is an important part of the overall picture, and the consultation gives us an opportunity to consider both partners’ health, lifestyle, previous investigations and any further testing that may be appropriate.
However, we completely understand that attending together isn’t always possible, and you are very welcome to attend individually.
What Happens?
Your consultation is carried out by one of our experienced Clinic Directors and lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Before your appointment, you may be asked to provide information about your fertility and medical history and any relevant test results you would like us to consider.
During the consultation, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to talk through your concerns and ask questions.
Following your appointment:
Within approximately 72 hours, you’ll receive your personalised Fertility Action Plan and relevant supporting resources.
And if questions come up afterwards, we’re here to support you.
